Here’s something a little different and hopefully it will get a little warmer so you can get outside to do it.

Last week you sorted fruit and vegetable and even thought about making a healthy fruit salad. How about this week you think about making something truly wonderful and truly disgusting! Here is the challenge.

Can you carry out an investigation to decide what the best recipe to make a mud pie would be?

You will need to think about five things

1. What ingredients you need?

2. What are the best amounts of each ingredient to get just the right amount to make the best pie?

3. Do you need anything extra for decoration?

4. What tools do you need?

5. How will you know it’s the perfect mud pie?

You might have to try it out a few times until you get it just right. Will you use all dry ingredients or will you need some liquid too? You could take some photos of your investigation or draw some pictures.

Additional challenge

Can you write a set of instructions on how to make a mud pie. I’ll tell you where I got this idea from now. One little person sent me a recipe for ‘Garden Soup’ a few weeks ago and I thought I’d save the idea and use it when the time was right.
